The disgusting chess.com has 47 ads on one page according to Adblock.

Chess.com is just complete garbage.

It is not only the ads ( I personalty use an ad blocker, will try Uorgin now instead f adblock ) but the whole site is a joke. It looks terrible, unintuitive, ugly.

mods acting like 3 year old girls, incredibly stupid tools acting like the site has no problems having a tantrum for every criticism.

Censorship is over the top. It is a chess site by the act like some feminazi,SJW children.

People that actually visited this site do not go back to chess.com unless they are stupid. Only thing that site has is it name.

I actually think chess.com is quite useful for us. It manages to attract a lot of people to online chess, so there's a bigger chance for them to discover lichess.

About the big things chess.com organizes... They can mainly do so because of the premium memberships, right? So, what if everybody with a premium membership on chess.com donates to lichess.org instead? They'll lose equally much money, and big grandmaster matches could be held here instead of over on that buggy, unnecessary site who has its popularity only because of its easy-to-remember URL :).

I agree with everything you wrote. Even worse they charge money for an inferior product that's better and free here.

However when I have time to waste I write comments there which is free. Sometimes I try to get away with advertising lichess even though if I was caught I would never be able to write comments there again.

Thanks to their censorship many of these people, aka victims, have never heard of lichess. They don't realize they are paying for something (for example computer analysis) they can get for free here.

Exactly, even when paying they get an inferior product.
