Chess mental is a normal chess game without board, you must have the place on the board of the pieces in head

i see, is it even possible to have the pieces in mind like that?? doesnt that take a photographic memory or smth or am i missing smth

or maybe i just lack it

It's really difficult but you learn that when you do for example many many exercise or when you play many chess

I can't very good remember and I think that you can better than you think. When you look if something that you play is good or bad, it's already mental chess. And if I said that I'm sorry but I don't feel superior or what you want and chess isn't just mental chess

no, i just mean i have a hard time belivieing someone can remember "the entire board and pieces, poses of both sides" etc just in mind, OR would they have some kind of record in the screen infront of them? like list of moves?? because if so then sure its not that hard

I know nothing about what thibault will do and I'm not sure that he realizes this variant of chess but when he do this ì think that he puts a list of move.

im sorry if it sounded like i didnt believe you, but i think i just misunderstood that minor detail about the list. Although im still wondering about the actual mental chess and if there is a list of moves kept as record "to mentally imagine theprovided list on board"
