Legend misfits ratings chart

In one's ratings chart the legend shows symbols unrelated to what's actually used in the chart, so in some cases it isn't clear the rating of what a line represents.
Having trouble uploading a screenshot so just check yours.

I agree. It seems only the colours make any sense.

for me the symbols on the legend look like they line up perfectly with the symbols in the chart where i hover. i don't see the issue.

edit: or maybe i don't understand the issue.

Ah right, those symbols actually appear when hovering.

I had looked for the symbols as parts of the usual charts, so I only went to look for matching the colors.

Maybe @bz also missed this, or means something else.

ok so now I understood its about the different rating shapes in the graph

bullet is a circle, blitz is a rhombus, rapid is a square

what's the alternative though? items in a legend definitely shouldn't jump around, so you cannot keep them in the same order as the lines.

It's also confusing because the chart lines are made with different stroke types. I always thought that those should show up in the legend. Instead, there are additional symbols that are usually not shown in the chart; they only show up when hovering and the legend is shown.

I mean it is understandable if you once got it, but it's somewhat easy to miss.

Ordering might make it more obvious.

that is true, those definitely should show up in the legend.
