Cheaters are Out of Control Today. Is Lichess anti cheating team on vacation today?

So far lost 16 games and won 7 today against players of similar rating. Every single game I'm getting blown off the board. Not slowly loosing some strategical game or endgame. No, completely blown off the board out of the opening or early middle game. One opponent managed to avoid M1 and follow up with 11 top engine moves to chase my king around despite an army of pawns in front of my king to deliver mate. Maybe I developed amnesia since yesterday when I was killing the pool.

Let's see how far down the cheaters can take me. Then I will be accused of sandbagging.

You are not a machine or a computer program - you are a human, and humans are often inconsistent. Were you cheating yesterday when you were winning all these games?

Cheat detection and banning is not a real time exercise except in super obvious cases - doesn't sound like any of these were that.

I appreciate the optimism. But we know all too well online chess is infested with questionable participants. We'll never know how many losses from today were illegitimate and that's exactly what makes many people very suspicious of online gaming. We need better measures to address the issue. I would be fine with playing verified accounts or 1+ year old accounts with x amount of games only. But it seems that's too much to ask for.

In the meantime, I'll keep grinding. Maybe my amnesia will be cured by the end of the day and I'll regain my "machine" status.

You'd be much happier assuming that all of your losses were legitimate unless you find evidence to the contrary - and I mean real evidence, not just something that confirms your bias. It also helps us stay humble

Being happy with my results is not what got me to my current deflated rating. Again, thanks for the optimism!
@chesspawn123 i highly doubt the cheating is how you think it is. There’s a good chance not one of those 16 loses we’re due to a cheater. Out of my 1000’s if games I’ve only ever thought a handful of times i was playing cheaters.
It's plain paranoia, and I've seen enough of it, yawn.
Yes, paranoia, and the worst thing about paranoia is that it can be infectious. The spread of paranoia about cheating is a serious threat to online play, much more so than the cheating itself which is effectively handled here. The green pawn site forbids discussion of cheating in general forums for this reason and earmarks a special club dedicated to the subject, full of people with good knowledge of the issue who can provide valuable information.
