Parents of Surbiton Juniors

I have been running the on-line Surbiton Junior Chess Club since just after the lockdown in mid-late March this year, and would like to give the parents of the Surbiton Junior Chess Club a chance to enjoy the game that their children have really taken to during this time as well!

I realise that many of you will be busy, but you can always challenge other parents on here as well, and if numbers increase, then I may even run a little tournament in time!

I feel that chess should be played among family members as (I am sure many of you have found!), children can compete on equal terms with adults in chess!

Also, I would encourage the mums to play as well! I think it is great when 2 mums come to the Surbiton Juniors Chess Club, and I ask them to play each other. Both are often very reluctant as they may have only played once in the last 10 years - and that to teach their child!! However I have on more than one occasion see that when they play, it is often very close, and they are surprised they had such an interesting game, and realise they are not as bad as they think after all!!

I would like to give you that opportunity!
