Add time (days) in correspondence games

Upon searching I keep seeing people state you can do this... but I can't figure out how. Maybe its a removed feature...? Anyway someone that I play with regularly has had a life situation come up, and we are in the middle of a game... Id like to give him a few more days so we don't lose the game. Is this possible now?
There isn't one,,, I see that in normal 'quick' games, but I don't have a + in correspondence
Maybe the opponent disabled the time add function? Some people have this disabled and you can't give them additional time.

In my one day games the blue button appears after one hour of waiting for the opponent's move, when the time left is 23 hours or less.
Indeed, it only seems to work if the opponent has already spent at least 1 hour on their move: github.com/lichess-org/lila/blob/master/modules/game/src/main/CorrespondenceClock.scala

And if you are referring to a rated correspondence game, it is possible that you or your opponent have the "Give more time" setting enabled for casual games only - or not at all: lichess.org/account/preferences/chess-clock

You could also create a new casual correspondence game "From Position" and challenge the opponent again when they have time.
Okay, thank you.... I checked my settings and I'm on 'always'... they must have the option turned off. Appreciate it.
