A "delete before here" in Study analysis option

Hi Guys

In doing a study to support the blog post, i noticed - lichess.org/study/mYmMcMIC i cannot use a "delete before here" - I wanted to really start at 18.Qf6 to highlight a tactical idea.

Perhaps a new "Delete before here" feasible where you just replace the prior moves with the start FEN string - it would make sense for the point I wanted to make in the blog. Maybe the option is there somehow though - not sure.

It is the previous moves that are irrelevant.

I think this might be useful for bloggers wanting to make use of Study game analysis but only from a certain offset in a game.

We could do that yeah. But also you can have your study embed start from a move of your choice. It's in the study share section:

I did not know that - so it adds a hash and then the ply number - that works well and still keeps the context of the previous game. I see - great stuff. Modified the blog post now with that.

I also wanted this feature, and didn't realise/discover how to do this. I made a post a few months ago asking for something similar.

Perhaps there is something that can be done to adjust the UI to make it more prominent, or possibly include in one of the "help" tutorials to highlight this.

@thibault can you add a button to delete a chapter in study? cus right now, you can only delete whole studies but not chapters in it.

@Rembrandt16 you can click the cog when you hover over a chapter, and select delete.

for the longest time, i couldn't see it. maybe because it's my background. i couldn't see the red cus it was light red on dark background that was transparent. hmmm
