>Declaring Charles III King, he said: "We now hereby with one voice and consent of tongue and heart, publish and proclaim that the Prince Charles Philip Arthur George, is now, by the death of our late Sovereign of happy memory, become our only lawful and rightful liege lord, Charles III, by the grace of God, of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, and of his other realms and territories, King, head of the Commonwealth, defender of the faith, to whom we do acknowledge all faith and obedience with humble affection, beseeching God, by whom kings and queens do reign, to bless His Majesty with long and happy years to reign over us."

So did you catch the ceremony and what did you think? It seems to be the English do pomp and ceremony second to none.
If I use a colander as a hat, they are gonna call the psychiatric yard. If you he put a feather duster on his head they give him a cool jacket inspired by some fancy lego set.
Can you believe this is the twenty-first century?

Yeah! We're so beyond the point of royalty! This is the era of hard earned billionaires who own more wealth than 99% of the population!

I was more thinking of their costumes and of the speech.
Pageantry is a common part of human culture. Attempts to remove aspects of it ( as during the French Revolution ) did not succeed as it seems to fulfill a basic need.

All one can do is channeled it into something that is not destructive or at least relatively harmless.

I would categorize this as the latter.

In Vienna is a location called "Kapuzinergruft" (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_Crypt). Along with complete corpses hearts and other organs of some royals are buried there separately.

So, how about turning it into a McDonalds and selling "Habsburgers"?
