Best way to get better at Chess

I want to end the year with 1600 rating in Blitz and Rapid but im not sure how to get there.
Best? Get a coach. Second best? Go to a physical chess club and go over your games after you finish them with stronger players. They are often willing to do that. Third best? Books, online courses, streamers, and practicing tactics problems. Studying openings is pretty far down the list IMHO. Middlegame & tactical books are more useful. Endgame books are *very* useful too, but, well . . . dry.

@InfinityAaroZ: I would be happy to give you some more detailed guidance if you'll chat with me. I'm looking for suggestions on what features to build for my website, we could help each other. I'm titled.

General: Focus on what you LIKE but try to expand out to include other aspects. Always engage and work hard or else STOP!
A) PLAY games (FUN) and LEARN from engine or opening book FEEDBACK.
B) Do TACTICS.
C) When you have a big decision to make (a few times in a game) - CALCULATE and always try to push yourself to go just a little further. Yes, this is hard work. If you can see 1 ply (half move) or 2 ply further, it makes a huge difference in your performance.
D) Address other issue that arise. The thing is that you respond to an identified practical need from your play. For example, defense, time management, psychology, endgame, opening etc.

Specifics:
A) Play games - Reduce Blunders by running Analysis for each game. (Seek positive and negative feedback on your moves) The point is that if you make less blunders than your opponent, then your chances of winning increase significantly.
If you want to review your game QUICKLY just focus on your Blunders and if no blunders then just Mistakes. (You can do Learn from your Mistakes.)
B) Do tactics - go a bit slower and focus on getting most of them correct. Take the time to do a final review of your answer. (LiChess can also create tactics especially for you)
C) Visual skills help with calculation. Try to improve VISUALIZATION of chess positions which is very hard for most people.
Another way to practice calculation is to do Find the Best Move (FBM) with whole games where you select and play the moves for one player. A FBM site is playgrandmasters.com
D) You identify an issue that needs improvement and then come up with a practical approach that you can apply.
For example, if you were much worse in the opening, then afterwards just press the Book icon and play through a suggested improved opening line that you can use next time. (Your objective is to get a reasonable position to play from the opening)
