@HerkyHawkeye & @Dukedog: a few relatives and I still can, mostly tomatoes. I haven't grown anything in a while but I've wanted to get some tomatoes going again. What I really miss is cane syrup. I tried to grow some sugarcane a while ago but it just wouldn't take.
And speaking of shine, I have a jar in my cabinet that's been up there for about 7 years. I was saving it because it was one of three. ....don't know what could've happened to those other two jars they just "disappeared" ;) I put a piece of toasted oak in one of them and made some half-decent whiskey.
