Averages are 3.5: Bishop can make tandem with second Bishop/another colorbound piece, but Knight is really strong on boards with size significantly less than 8x8.

Another truth is that Archbishop (B+N fairy compound) worths about 8 – there’s an imbalance where Archbishop & Pawn worth more than Queen.
