#2: What's "insta" about it? Not only does the name sound unconventional I'm pretty sure it's slower than 0+1 (lightning).

1/2+0 is much faster than 0+1. It's actually pretty easy to lose in 0+1, while in 1/2+0 I had less problems beating 2000+ players. :-P
