I haven't disabled it here, because I need it sometimes. I've made 4 misclicks in about 200 games, and usually they decline even if I tell them it was honest misclick/error. I've even been declined a few times with an obvious castling misclick. Fuckers!
On FICS, after a while I changed an option to disallow takebacks, now I'm probably going to do it here too.
There's a pattern. When I give the takeback, they win. If I don't, I win. When I see someone ask for a takeback all I see is, "Can I get free points from you?"
I feel like it happens in 25% of all my games. And almost everytime I decline, they are butthurt and I feel bad. They start childish behavior like text spamming, or offer draw 100x, and let time run down---a troll!
What is wrong with people? If you're higher rated than me, don't ask for a takeback b/c you found a better move!
The reason I used to always give takebacks is because it makes you better. Play out the game and learn, instead of win/points.
TL;DR: I hate human nature/condition/greed.
