Why do people "slow roll?"

If you need it to declare such things as "wins" you should better check your goals in chess.

1. He's only rated highly because of his lack of games.

2. The position at the end is drawish, and you could make a mistake.
It's fine. When I think I'm lost and I see no reason to go on, I just resign. I have better things to do.

Once I was playing a master and played the Grünfeld horribly wrong. I could see I that it was only down hill and resigned in move 18. Not because mate was imminent but it was obvious that my position was lost and I saw no way out of it.
Instead we analyzed the game, talked, played some blitz games, and got to go home early. Learned a lot and had fun.

Do you really think so? With 2 days time left? LOL, your optimism is admirable.
In correspondence, sometimes I move before I notice a draw offer. But after 7 draw offers (6 declined), that excuse doesn't really work.
