I currently work for a company that teaches chess to children. An average class ranges between 5-25 kids. I am trying to incorporate lichess as much as possible into my workplace. I love this site, have been a long-time user, and want to see it succeed! With this all this in mind, here is my current feedback:
** most important**
1) Within the 'Analysis Board', you should be able to edit and delete variations. (copying a transcribed game from paper to lichess' analysis board is just horrendous, as you cannot make any mistakes or they will become the mainline.)
** also very important**
2) You should be able to finalize a game within the 'Analysis Board' (perhaps have it act as an imported game). Then you can get the computer analysis of the game, and maybe more importantly, a link to the game.
3) The ability to create databases of games (private and public). Currently I have my own spreadsheets with links to lichess games, but streamlining this within lichess itself would be fantastic. This functionality I believe would skyrocket lichess into 'undisputed best chess website'.
4) A better profile interface. I hear one is on the horizon. Currently searching for a particular game you played or imported is just too difficult. Starring games helps - but as in (3), a database system to structure your games / positions would be fantastic.
Additional Comments:
The export to pdf is FANTASTIC. good work whoever implemented that. I use it frequently.
I have noticed that on occasion the export to pgn/pdf has been non-responsive.
I would love to use the 3d pieces more frequently, but they all look kinda the same, and a little ugly.
Thanks,
