I keep writing text on the wrong move

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but please see the image below.

lichess purposely keeps making me comment on a move that I didn't want to comment on (in this case, it's making me comment on the move before the one I have clicked on in my user pane)

What is the point of this "commenting after" feature? Can we turn it off?

All I want to do is write text on the move that I click. I don't want whatever this is. It makes writing within lichess studies cumbersome at times and it happens frequently.
What exactly is the bug you are talking about?

So, it keeps propagating the text & pane in the image above. I'd like for that to stop because it keeps making me write text on the wrong move. I would consider this a design bug, but it could be an intentional feature that I don't understand how to use.

It can happen in any study like example one:

image below shows what I am seeing:

That seems like a bug because it doesn't happen for me.

One of the mods told me that "So if you click the comment box on move 3, then change to move 4, your comment would still be for the prev. move (3) "
Oh yeah. I guess it is to prevent people from commenting and then going to a different move before they are finished commenting thus commenting the wrong move. If you want to comment a different move you need to first click somewhere else to exit the comment box and then click wherever else you want to comment.
Yeah, exactly. I feel like that's not needed as a design feature. The comment box shouldn't influence what move I write on.
@InfiniteFlash I vaguely remember encountering that sort of thing in Study section so after making sure you have saved your work on the study, try to open it from your profile in a new tab and continue on there. I believe it gets fixed then.

Edit: What @LeoHao said might be more practical and easier than my solution as it makes sense to make sure you are commenting on the right move by clicking some other places sometimes and then returning to the commenting section back.
Do you know the exact conditions to trigger this? I can't figure out how to reproduce this behavior. When I switch moves, my comment input box always gets updated. So I'm not seeing/doing the same thing as TBest, apparently.

From the codebase, this probably has something to do with the "playedLastMoveMyself" function combined with having focus on the comment box.
1. Have a(ny) study with say, like the one in the example.
2. Have focus on the PGN field under the study (think anything but the comment box.)
3. Go to move 4 exd5 (for example
4. Change to the comment box under the study. Make sure the cursor is blinking there.
5. Scroll the move/board state using the mouse wheel. (So that the comment box still has focus)
6. The comment box will now say "Commenting on move 4. exd5" while the board is showing a different position.

[Not sure if all steps are needed, and might be other ways to get the behavior too]
